Hazel End is located in the historical town of Bishop’s Stortford. Hazel End is situated within a quiet residential area, whilst being easily accessible with good road links. We provide excellent residential and residential dementia care. In addition to permanent care, we offer shorter stays and respite care. We can also support couples at Hazel End.

Our home has finishing touches to make it warm and welcoming, whilst being modern and purpose built. It has luxurious social spaces, attractive décor and freely accessible, private gardens for residents and their loved ones to enjoy. Each one of our 66 bedrooms includes an en-suite wet room for dignity and comfort.

Our fees are inclusive to provide peace of mind that we don’t have hidden charges.

Our Care

We take time to get to know our residents’ likes, dislikes, passions and hobbies. By getting to know everyone, we can support and care for each person as a unique and special individual. Our team are equipped with the Digital Care Planning care technology, enabling them to provide the best support. This allows colleagues to spend more time with our residents. Colleagues are selected for their personal qualities such as kindness and empathy. All colleagues are supported with ongoing training and support to ensure our care is the best it can be.

Our Menus

Our meals are cooked freshly on site each day and are nutritionally balanced and designed to suit the preferences of our residents. Hazel End can also support specific conditions, such as Dysphagia. We pride ourselves on the quality of our catering, with our team preparing meals daily from seasonal, local ingredients where possible. Mealtimes are sociable and pleasurable events each day. Our residents enjoy regular tasting events, to ensure our menus suit their nutritional needs, preferences and dietary requirements. Further meal options and snacks are also available each day. We all have strong memories associated with certain recipes, foods, specific meals and for Hazel End care home, it is vital that the food we serve reflects this.

Our team understands the importance of social interaction and support. Hazel End offers regular trips and supports visits from loved ones. Our home offers engaging activities and know that the happiness of our residents is important. These activities aim to improve overall physical and emotional well-being and include gentle exercise, arts and crafts and also one to one time between colleagues and residents.
